Fear grips most people when they discover they have to write content for their website. Not just one or two blogs but rather 100 – 200 blogs or more and in a specific format for getting rankings and visitors to their website.
Repurpose Your Content
Did you know, one blog can be repurposed, reused and recycled to make the most of your content creation?
When I write, such as this blog, it is part of a larger picture to make the most of the content so it goes further.
My focus is on writing books. Every chapter in a book has a purpose. It covers a topic I want the reader to understand. Then it is backed up with a story or two to reinforce the message.
People remember stories rather than the messages.
So, each time a new chapter is written the content is broken down into subcategories that provide content for all the other platforms and tools that I utilize.
I’m currently writing a new book about being an Online Entrepreneur. The book will be released in early 2024.
Content from within the book is being broken down and repurposed into content for
· Website – writing articles for my website The Online Entrepreneur
· Course Content – creating the outline for a course, Online Business Mastery. I’m currently writing and recording the course content which will also be released in early 2024.
· YouTube – providing information in video format for my YouTube channel and generating shorts/reels. This is all part of the advertising generated to promote the book and course.
· Social Media – breaking down content to form part of the social media marketing strategy on Facebook, Instagram and X
· Newsletter – content from the book is broken down into titbits of information for the weekly newsletter Online Entrepreneur
· Podcast – some tips for my podcast channel
As you can see, one chapter in the book is repurposed to be useable in different formats for different online channels.
What I have shared with you in this blog is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many ways to rework all content created.
The beauty of this strategy is one topic generates many creative outputs so there is never a shortage of what will I write about this week.
When it comes to social media content most people have a short memory about the posts being created so after one year the posts are again reworked and presented in a slightly different perspective.
So, next time you are faced with writing content just remember every piece of content created can be repurposed for many different types of online platforms.
How do you come up with the topics to write?
Simple, write down everything you are learning each day and you’ll always have topics to write about.
Keep a diary of the content created and where and when it was published. Then in 12 months time, you can repurpose the content and repost it.
This way you are making the most of your content and making a little go a long way.
