Social Media Marketing – Facebook

In this newsletter, we will look at how to get in front of your perfect clients using social media marketing and in particular Facebook.

Facebook Personal Timeline

Each social media platform has a specific use.  With Facebook, a personal timeline is used to show prospective clients your transformation.  The means use my product or service and this is the result. You are telling visitors to your site, “it worked for me and it will work for you.” 

Your personal timeline is your FREE advertising showing the life-changing benefits of using your product or service.

For example – I’m in the business of wealth creation.  This is achieved through building online businesses and investing the profits into Property, Shares and Commodities.  It’s about making money.

But people only want money because of the lifestyle they believe they can achieve if they have sufficient wealth. So, my personal timeline is about enjoying life.  The places I visit.  Scenic views on my travels.  Family life.  I also include some success stories for customers.

When people visit my timeline they see what they are dreaming about – lifestyle.

A word of caution, don’t use your timeline to complain or swear about things.  You might be used to sharing exactly what you think and negative posts get lots of likes.  Your potential clients don’t want to see a whinger.  They don’t want to see the bad things in their own lives.

They want to see someone who is good at what they do, enjoying life and oozing confidence.  They want to know that what you offer will help them transform their lives and provide the results they desire.

Facebook Pages

Facebook pages are your business page.

This is engagement with potential customers.  It’s here you can talk about your products and services.  You can sell from this page.  Write about the benefits of being a customer.  Put your daily posts, quotes, benefit posts, sales pitches, redirections to your website or Facebook Group and much more.

Think of a Facebook page as your shop window where you are enticing customers to pop in, browse, and see what is on offer.

I have found that while page visitors will browse the products and services on the Facebook pages, they also like to see real “people” posts. So again, an opportunity to showcase the transition and benefits.

Facebook Groups

Groups are your target audience.  They liked your personal timeline and Facebook page enough to want to get more information about your product and services. 

With Facebook Groups you can have a free group where you can engage with your target audience and you can have paid groups.  These are like a membership group where they pay access to more relevant information.

In the free group, the aim is to give lead magnets and other information to get members to go onto your mailing list.  Despite all the new technology today, 90% of sales for online entrepreneurs still come from an email list.

Regular Posting

There are many people on Facebook all vying for attention.  In addition, there are entrepreneurs spending millions to get their advertising in front of potential customers.

Your message needs to be seen and regular.

One challenge I did when starting to use Social Media Marketing was to put a post up every day.

The more frequently you post the more likely people will remember you.

Try posting every day for one year and see what results you get.

This Week’s Action Steps

Take the challenge to post every day for a year.

Set up a Facebook Page and a Facebook Group and link them together.  Start posting.
