Newsletter #027 – Can You Start An Online Business With No Cash
I’m often told by many people, they would like to start an online business but have no money to get started.
They are frequently told they need £5000 or £10,000 to start a business. This put them off ever starting an online business but the reality is different.

The first thing to determine when starting an online business is what type of business do you want and how would you like to market it.
Then it may be easier to set up free content based on the platform you want to use.
For instance, if you are comfortable promoting your product and services on YouTube or TikTok then your business could be started for free on those platforms.
Jimmy Donaldson, was 12 years old when he started a YouTube Channel. Today, at the age of 24 Jimmy is one of the highest earners on YouTube earning around £54million a year.
To set up a YouTube Channel just register with YouTube and post videos about your topic. As you attract more followers, you’ll get paid for the videos viewed.
Most people have a social media account such as Facebook or Instagram. A business can be built around these social media accounts.
When I started Karen Newton International, I had a Facebook page and a Facebook Group. People contacted me through messenger and if they were interested in joining a course. I gave them bank account details and they set up an automatic monthly payment to the account.
Coaching was delivered either in person or live through the group.
Again, there was no cost involved in setting up the business.

I cover several types of businesses and software that can be used for free. They can be upgraded to paid services once the business is growing. Some of the types of accounts included in the blog are
- YouTube and/or TikTok
- Email Marketing
- E-Commerce Sites
- Websites
So now there is no excuse not to start an online business especially when you can try for free and see if the business model suits you.
A lot of people complain about time – or lack of time – as an excuse to not start an online business.
As many of you are aware, I have been suffering ill health throughout 2023 and my time on a computer has been severely limited. So, I did an experiment and started a new online business working just 30 minutes a day.
It was amazing how much I was able to achieve in the limited time frame.
If you truly want to become an online entrepreneur then the tips in here this week will overcome the obstacles of no cash to start an online business and limited time.
